By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Service.
Betula provides AI-powered assistant services designed to help users communicate, remember information, and get things done.
Depending on the features you use, Betula may:
Some features may use third-party telecommunications, artificial intelligence, speech processing, cloud, scheduling, search, or other services.
Betula uses artificial intelligence to understand requests, generate responses, communicate, and perform tasks.
AI systems can make mistakes. Responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, misunderstood, or inappropriate for a particular situation.
You are responsible for reviewing and verifying information or actions when accuracy is important. You should not rely on Betula as the sole source of information for decisions that could have significant legal, financial, medical, safety, or other consequences.
Betula does not guarantee that an AI assistant will correctly understand every instruction, caller, conversation, or situation.
When you instruct Betula to call, message, communicate with, or otherwise interact with another person or organization on your behalf, you authorize Betula to perform that communication for you.
You are responsible for the instructions and information you provide to Betula and for ensuring that you have the right to ask Betula to communicate or share that information.
You should not instruct Betula to impersonate another person, misrepresent your identity or authority, deceive others about material facts, or engage in unlawful or fraudulent activity.
Certain Betula features may record, monitor, or transcribe telephone calls or conversations.
Laws governing recording, monitoring, transcription, automated calls, and consent vary by jurisdiction.
You are responsible for using Betula in compliance with applicable laws and for obtaining any notices, permissions, or consents required for calls or conversations you initiate, configure, or request through the Service.
Where Betula itself provides a notice or consent mechanism, you agree not to disable, circumvent, or misrepresent that mechanism.
Betula assistants may identify themselves as AI assistants or otherwise inform callers that they are interacting with an automated system.
You agree not to configure or use Betula for the purpose of deceptively impersonating a real person or misleading others about the artificial nature of the assistant where such disclosure is required by law.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials and for activity occurring through your account.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating and maintaining your account and to notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed or used without authorization.
You may use Betula only for lawful purposes.
You may not use the Service to:
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service where we reasonably believe it is being used unlawfully, fraudulently, abusively, or in violation of these Terms.
Betula relies on third-party services and providers for portions of the Service, which may include telecommunications carriers, AI and speech-processing providers, cloud infrastructure, search services, scheduling services, and other technology providers.
Availability and performance of these services may affect Betula.
When Betula interacts with a third-party business, website, booking service, or other service on your behalf, that third party's own terms, policies, pricing, availability, and rules may apply.
Betula is not responsible for the acts, omissions, products, services, availability, or policies of independent third parties.

Certain information may need to be processed or retained to provide features such as conversation history, messages, recordings, transcripts, and assistant memory.
AI model processing performed through LiveKit Inference is subject to LiveKit's Zero Data Retention requirements. Information sent through LiveKit Inference is not retained by LiveKit or its underlying inference providers beyond the processing necessary to complete the request and is not used by those providers to train or improve their AI models.

Betula is not an emergency service and should not be relied upon to contact emergency services or respond to emergencies.
Information provided through Betula should not be treated as medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice unless it is independently provided or verified by an appropriately qualified professional.
You should use appropriate human judgment and oversight when using Betula for important decisions or communications.
Certain Betula services may require payment based on subscription, usage, telephone minutes, features, or other pricing displayed when you purchase or use the Service.
You agree to pay applicable fees and charges associated with your account.
Pricing and available plans may change from time to time. Changes will apply prospectively in accordance with any notice requirements that apply to your plan.
Taxes, telecommunications charges, or third-party charges may apply where indicated.
Betula and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including its software, technology, designs, trademarks, logos, and other proprietary materials.
These Terms do not grant you ownership of Betula's technology or intellectual property.
You retain ownership of information and content you provide to Betula, subject to the rights necessary for Betula and its service providers to process that information to provide, secure, maintain, and operate the Service.
We continually develop and improve Betula.
Features may be added, changed, suspended, or discontinued. We do not guarantee that any particular feature, telecommunications provider, AI model, integration, or third-party service will always remain available.
We may perform maintenance or experience interruptions caused by telecommunications networks, Internet services, third-party providers, technical failures, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available."
Betula disclaims warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or that AI-generated information, communications, transcripts, actions, or results will always be accurate or complete.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Betula and its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, agents, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, business opportunities, or similar losses arising from or related to your use of the Service.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Betula's aggregate liability arising from or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Betula during the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim or (b) $100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Betula LLC and its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, and agents from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of another person.
You may stop using Betula at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially violate these Terms, use the Service unlawfully or abusively, create security or operational risks, or fail to pay applicable fees.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply after termination.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Service, our business, or applicable legal requirements.
When we make changes, we will post the revised Terms and update the "Last updated" date.
Where required by law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New Jersey, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim in another jurisdiction.
